Carol Palacio Celebrates 14 Years!
Carol Palacio, VVS Site Manager at JBS in Ottumwa, recently celebrated 14 years of service with VVS. Carol has worked in the foodservice industry for 26 years, and has been recognized for her strong work ethic. She grew up working in her mother’s restaurant washing dishes, and helped to keep everything clean so that customers would have a great experience. “I am very pleased to be a part of VVS,” said Carol.
When not working, Carol and her family (husband, Frank, and three grown sons) enjoy finding historic places to visit. Carol told VVS, “My proudest moments are always when all employees work together and the food that they display ‘makes one hurry up to eat’.”

VVS Feeds 9 Tyson Foods Plants
VVS recently catered plant feeds at 9 Tyson Foods locations. The plant feeds were set up by Tyson Foods as a way to say “thank you” to their employees at all locations. Some of the participating sites included Dakota City, Amarillo, Logansport, Columbus Junction, Perry, Waterloo, Lexington, Sherman and Madison. Menus included everything from burritos to burgers! Richard Stam Celebrates 5 Years with VVS
Richard Stam recently celebrated 5 years with VVS. As part of the IT team, Richard has become an integral part of diagnosing issues within the POS, camera and VVS’ internal systems. When not at work, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife, gardening and woodworking. Thanks for your service, Richard!

Carolina Mungia Receives Recognition from Cargill
Carolina Mungia, VVS Site Manger at Cargill in Friona, Texas, was recently recognized by Cargill for an doing outstanding job. Cargill Plant Manager, Jamin Phipps, presented Carolina with a Cargill Jacket and complimented her on the great food and variety offered in the cafeteria. A recent health inspection that garnered a 99% was also mentioned. Great job to Carolina and her staff in Friona!
