Tyson Dakota City Anniversary

Tyson Dakota City Celebrates 50 Years!

Tyson foods recently celebrated their Dakota City facility turning 50! VVS lent a hand by grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for the event. Tyson employees were treated to a meal, games, dancing and shirts promoting the event. Tyson President Tom Hayes, Dakota Dunes based President Steve Stouffer and Donnie King, President of North American Operations, among others, were on hand for the event. “It’s the best, biggest, and most important beef plant in the entire world,” Steve Stouffer told a cheering crowd. Congratulations Tyson, Dakota City – here’s to 50 more!

National Beef Plant Feed

VVS Feeds 7,000 at National Beef

What does it take to feed 7,000 hungry National Beef employees and their families? Careful planning and hard work! VVS Canteen site manager, David Castillo and assistant manager, Deanna Martinez began setting up the Western State Bank Expo Center in Dodge City, Kansas two days in advance and figuring out the best layout to accommodate the large number of attendees. Another challenge to overcome was the distance between the Expo center and the groups’ kitchen facility. Careful planning and organization was used to figure out the cooking schedules and the multiple deliveries needed to keep food hot and in supply. The event was a success! Great job to everyone involved!
